I’m so pleased with the quality of these towels ~ not only are they a gorgeous colour, but they’re also super absorbant and lint-free. Also, they feature hanging tabs to allow them to be hung in two positions, an unexpected and added bonus.

I was looking to replace the black tea towels I had but couldn’t find anything near the quality of them. On searching I found these on line in slate grey and purchased them. They are very good quality and I love the tab to hang them up with. So much so I purchased two more. Please do aprons! I would recommend the company and tea towels to anyone.

The good. Seems to be made of quality material (time will tell if it wears well) and it is very absorbent (unlike so many towels today). It has a loop for hanging off a hook. Not so good. The weight is disappointing, 70 grams, very thin. You would expect a bit more from the price. It took over a week to arrive. Overall, I will still be looking for a perfect tea towel.

Are these tea towels eco-friendly?

Many of us don’t realise our tea towels are made out of microfibres, which are a kind of plastic. Every time you wash this synthetic fabric, millions of microfibres are released into the waters, these fibres are too small to be filtered out by waste treatment plants, so they end up in our waterways and oceans, where they wreak havoc on marine animal health and our environment.

These microplastics make their way into the bellies of marine animals, seriously harming not only our ecosystem but our planet.

How should I wash these tea towels?

Simply throw your tea towel into the washing machine on a hot wash. You can put your dishcloths into the tumble dryer but avoid fabric softener as it will reduce their absorbency. If your cloth has a smell, soak them in warm water with vinegar before you wash them.
